Lastly, we wanted to take some time to reflect on Memorial Day and to both celebrate and mourn the generations of sacrifices that our service members have given to all of us throughout our nation’s history. We hope that this Memorial Day gave each of you some time to reflect and we are always here if anyone in our military-connected community ever needs support of any kind.

Student Veterans’ Graduation Cord Distribution on May 6th at Washington College of Law

Good afternoon AUMCC family,

Congratulations to you all on getting through this last semester! We are all UNBELIEVABLY PROUD of our graduating student veteran and military-affiliated population for their incredible accomplishment.

Tomorrow at the Washington College of Law’s Faculty Lounge from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, graduating student veterans who are serving, have served, or will serve after graduation will receive a red, white, and blue cord as part of the Military-Connected Graduation Celebration.

To our AU military-affiliated community: Not only have you served (or will serve) your country, but you’ve taken the disciplined initiative to obtain your education despite the challenges of being a college student in a post-COVID world. Please take this time to celebrate your amazing achievement, and we hope to celebrate with you tomorrow!

Lastly, due to limited space, graduates and their immediate family members only will be permitted to attend as we have quite a lot of graduates! As always, we’re always here in the event that any of you have any questions or concerns.
