The Mission Continues
The Mission Continues is a national nonprofit organization that connects military veterans with new missions in under-resourced communities. They believe service saves lives. Veterans possess the drive and desire to serve others, but without access to the tools needed, their potential to make a meaningful impact at the local level remains untapped. On the other end of the spectrum growing numbers of communities in this country are under-resourced and being left behind. The Mission Continues bridges this gap. Our vision is for all veterans with a desire to continue their service to be part of a movement to transform communities.
Camp Shield has listened to the heart of female veterans, the concerns of male veterans as it relates to their female counterparts, veteran supporters, partner organizations and donors for over five years. These conversations revealed a lack of resources created BY female veterans, FOR female veterans that address emotional, social and physical wounds. These unseen wounds have contributed to a lower quality of life, emotional instability and a lack of social engagement as seen in communities across the nation. Camp Shield is working to address these wounds and improve the lives of female veterans.
